Wow! The original price that had been planned for the Xbox 360 Kinect was $299. But the actual price is going to be only $149.99! A mere $150 for the amount of fun that this controller that is not a controller is going to bring is unbelievable.

People who are in the know have already pre-ordered their Kinect so they can be sure they have it on the release date of November 4.  Yep, that’s right, you can actually order the Kinect online and receive it on the release date. And now they’re even bundling the Kinect with a Kinect game called Kinect Adventures.

If you’re dying to try out the new Xbox 360 Kinect like I am, you’re gonna have a long wait. It’s not even gonna be available until November 4, 2010, which in the gaming/computer world is like eons away.

I don’t know why Microsoft has to tantalize us like this. For heaven’s sake, they had celebrities playing with Kinect at E3, why can’t we have it now? November is waaaaay too long to wait, but wait we must. Maybe it’ll be that much more exciting when I do actually get my grubby little hands on it for having to endure the agony of waiting.

The good news is that they are taking pre-orders, so maybe they’ll actually have enough of them when the time comes and it won’t be a matter of standing in line for days to (hopefully) be able to buy one at the store. No, I’ll be pre-ordering mine online because with Amazon, they have a cool service called Release-Date Delivery, which means I’ll actually get my Kinect ON the release date. How cool is that?

Believe me, this new must-have device is going to do away with the term, couch potato.
